Profile Dies

With the use of custom written mesh generators, Dieflow 3-D CFD software can be used to greatly reduce the "cut and try" that is often involved in the design of profile dies. Not only can a profile die with almost unlimited complexity be designed to give a near uniform exit flow throughout the entire profile, but the downstream effects of die swell on the final extruded shape can be determined as well.
