Extrusion Die Design

With the use of fully three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Dieflow has taken the design of extrusion dies from an art to a science. Although replacing simpler traditional one- and two-dimensional approaches with fully three-dimensional ones requires a much more in depth analysis and a large amount of computations, the design of most dies can be performed on today's personal computers with software specifically written for that purpose by Dieflow. Two examples are presented to the right.
